Brisbane's newest CBD dining precinct 480 Queen partners with Foodbank - Australia’s largest hunger relief organisation - to help relieve hunger in Queensland.
This August, join 480 Queen as they partner up with Foodbank, Australia’s largest hunger relief organisation to help relieve hunger in Queensland. Through to Monday 14th August, 480 Queen will be collecting non-perishable food & long-life products from the Concierge Desks on Ground Floor.
The face of hunger is diverse. Those affected are men, women, children and the elderly. They are single or have families, are students, are employed or unemployed, or retired. They are people with disabilities, refugees, and those of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. 480 Queen is proud to be partnering with Foodbank to play a role in relieving hunger in Queensland, supporting the cause also are 480 Queen tenants HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, BHP, PwC Australia, Guardian Early Learning, as well as F1rst Class Fitness.
Foodbank Queensland provides 75% of the food distributed each week by 300 welfare agencies and over 200 schools. They are a bridge between growers, manufacturers and retailers, and have the logistics, infrastructure and network to reach each 100,000 vulnerable Queenslanders who are in need of food each week.
480 Queen has already collected boxes of donations that include non-perishables such as pasta, rice, tins of soup, and tea & honey. Driving the collection with the support of tenants, 480 Queen is ensuring that each and every donated food item along with cash donations work towards helping to relieve hunger in Queensland.
Every $1 raised is converted to $8 worth of vital staple products, and every food item donated ensures that the connected agencies are able to continue to supply nutritious and filling meals to those who need them.
Donations at 480 Queen are able to be accepted at the Concierge Desk on the Ground Level, as well as individual collection points with HWL Ebsworth Lawyers, BHP, PwC Australia, Guardian Early Learning and F1rst Class Fitness.
